Day 1: Arrival in Skopje.

After meeting with your driver at Skopje airport you will be transferred to Skopje city center for light dinner and overnight.


Day 2: Skopje – Stobi – Heraclea.

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will take a look at Skopjes’s most interesting sites with the local guide. You will visit Kale Fortress, Old town of Skopje, old bazaar, stone bridge, Macedonia Square and Mother Teresa house. Later, you will get transferred to Stobi Winery tasting at a local wine producer with a long tradition.You will also visit Stobi Archeologic site. After Stobi you will be transferred Heraclea to visit Heraclea Lyncesti. You will get back to Skopje where you will have dinner and overnight at a hotel in the heart of the city.


Day 3: Ohrid, the Jerusalem of the Balkans.

This morning after breakfast you will meet with the local guide at the reception of the hotel and start the sightseeing of Ohrid. Sublime Ohrid is Macedonia’s most seductive destination, with an atmospheric old quarter cascading down a graceful hill, crammed full of beautiful churches and topped by the bones of a medieval castle.You will visit the city center, main square, and promenade. You will continue to Sveta Sofija Cathedral and have a boat trip for a fantastic experience in Ohrid lake. You will have free time in the afternoon on your own leisure before dinner and overnight.


Day 4: Orthodox Legacy!

This morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to Sveti Naum. Sveti Naum, 29km south of Ohrid, is an imposing sight on a bluff near the Albanian border. Naum was a contemporary of St Kliment, and their monastery an educational center. You will visit the Monastery and will pass in the Albanian side with a short stop in Tushemisht for lunch at a local taverna and Drilon before transferring to Korca. Korça is southern Albania’s intellectual center and a town with a proud cultural heritage. It’s an exceptionally pleasant and well-cared-for place by Albanian standards. The main reason to come here is to visit the town’s excellent Museum of Medieval Art. You will have dinner and overnight in Korca.


Day 5: Meeting of Philip the second.

You will have breakfast at the hotel and then will be transferred to Vergina for a visit of The Philip Tomb. You will have lunch before you get transferred to Pella and meet the local guide to the Archaeological site of Pella and the Museum. Lastly, you will be transferred to Thessaloniki for dinner and overnight at your centrally located hotel.


Day 6: Thessaloniki all day.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will discover the second largest city in Greece and the second largest and wealthiest city of the Ottoman Empire after Istanbul. It was founded by Cassander of Macedonia and its history spans some 2300 years ago. Thessaloniki is very important today as it hosts the largest university in Greece and Balkans too, Aristotle University. Of great interest to be visited is the Aristotle Square, White Tower, Galerius Arch along with many Byzantine churches now protected by Unesco. You will have a visit also at Thessaloniki Castle The Heptapyrgion. After the visit, you will have some free time to enjoy Thessaloniki.


Day 7: Thessaloniki – Alexandropoli – Edirne.

After having breakfast at the hotel you will hit the road to Edirne (Turkey) which will take a long time but beautiful as well. We will observe the beauties of both Greece and Turkey sides , because we are going to go through Kavala city, Xanthi, Komotini (Greece side) and Ipsala, Kesan and then Edirne city (Turkey side). During the travel time you will be transferred to Alexandroupoli for lunchtime and after that, you will get transferred to Edirne. Once you arrive on Edirne which will be around 5 a clock you will take part on sightseeing of the city which is located on the northeast of the country, and it lies on the gently rolling Thracian plains (much of the city is fairly flat though). Then you will continue to visit the Jewish Synagogue, the biggest one in Turkey and the whole Balkans, but it is slowly decaying now. You will have dinner and overnight.


Day 8: Edirne – Istanbul.

After breakfast at the hotel in Edirne, it is time to leave this beautiful and historical city and moving on to Istanbul. Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey, constituting the country’s economic, cultural, and historical heart. With a population of 13.9 million, the city forms one of the largest urban agglomerations in Europe and it is among the largest cities in the world by population within city limits. Istanbul is a transcontinental city, straddling the Bosphorus—one of the world’s busiest waterways—in northwestern Turkey, between the Sea of Marmara and the Black Sea. Its commercial and historical center lives in Europe, while a third of its population lives in Asia. What you will visit first, is the center of the European part of Istanbul, where all main sites are to be found there. After your will arrive, you will accommodate at your hotel, visit Istanbul on a boat trip and you will also have free time at your leisure. You will have dinner and overnight at your hotel, which is located in the heart of Istanbul, right on the Sultanahmet district.


Day 9: Istanbul all day.

After breakfast at the hotel, after 09.00 you will meet your local guide that will lead you to discover the colors of Istanbul. What you will visit first is the center of the European part of Istanbul, where all main sites are to be found there. Our visit will start with the famous Hippodrome, built in antiquity when Istanbul was called Byzantium. You will continue with the inside visits of Blue mosque and Archeological museum where Alexander the Great Sarcofag is located. After lunchtime in one of the restaurants, you will continue to visit some interesting sites of Istanbul, on the Camilla, or Antena on the Asian side. Just before you go to the hotel you will stop at The Spice Bazaar in Istanbul. Lastly, you will have dinner and overnight at your hotel.


Day 10: Istanbul onward flight.

After breakfast, depending on the flight schedule you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
