Lekursi Castle and Surroundings Shore excursion starting from Saranda port.
This shore excursion starts with your transfer from Saranda port to the Lekursi Castle. During your stop there you will have the opportunity to enjoy the picture-perfect views of Saranda bay. Following that, you will be transferred to the Mesopotam Monastery. This monastery was dedicated to St. Nicholas with a very special architecture of the Byzantine style. It is thought to have been built by the Byzantine Emperor Constantine of Monaco IX in 1042-1054. Later on, your next stop will be the Blue Eye spring. In this place, you will see the wonders of mother nature. The spring is like a pool of deep blue water, surrounded with light blue edges, just like an eye. Around the spring there are numerous trees and plants that create a beautiful cocktail of colors. Then the journey comes to an end and you will be transferred back to the port.
Itinerary
After meeting with the guide at the Saranda port, you will be transferred to the Lekursi Castle for an approximately 30 min drive. There you will have a short stop to enjoy and take pictures of the beautiful views of Saranda bay. Later on, you will be transferred to visit the Mesopotam Monastery. Following that, your next stop will be the Blue Eye natural spring. Lastly, you will be transferred back to your ship to continue your journey.
