Weekend Break visiting South Coast and Gjirokastra from Saranda

Day 1: Pick Up Saranda Port or Saranda city center – Butrint – Gjirokaster

After your arrival at Saranda Port, you will meet with your driver and guide. You will start with a sightseeing tour of Saranda, which includes a visit to the city center and the ruins of the synagogue. After that you will be transferred to Butrint, to visit the most important archaeological park in Albania. Afterward, you will continue with a visit to Ksamil, where you will have free time for lunch and sunbathing on the crystal waters of the Ionian sea. The next transfer will be towards Gjirokaster for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gjirokastra

After breakfast, you will start to discover the city of Gjiroakster. The visit includes the Castle “Argjiro” of Gjirokastra, traditional old houses and old quarters, old bazaar with craftsmen shops. You will also have the opportunity to enter the Ethnographic museum “Birth house of the former Albanian dictator, Enver Hoxha”. Next, you will have lunch at the old bazaar and visit the Cold War tunnels. Later on, you will have time for a coffee break and then leisure time for shopping or discovering the city on your own. In this day the dinner is not included so you can explore by yourself the taverns in the surroundings. Lastly, you will stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Gjirokaster – Blue Eyes – Borshi – Porto Palermo – Saranda

In the morning, after breakfast, you will be transferred to the Blue Eye Spring. You will visit and enjoy the fantastic nature and then you will be transferred to Borshi waterfall. After having lunch there, you will head in the direction of Porto Palermo and visit the fortress of Ali Pasha. Next, you will be transferred Transfer back to Saranda, with a break at Lekursi castle to enjoy the breathtaking panorama. Lastly, you will return to Saranda Port to continue your journey.
