Your journey departs from Tirana, heading toward Shengjergj, a charming mountain village located just outside the capital.
Shengjergj is a hidden haven surrounded by lush forests, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. Here, you’ll get a glimpse of rural Albanian life, with opportunities to interact with friendly locals, experience traditional hospitality, and enjoy the rustic charm of this tranquil village. You can also visit Lepuri Lake located only 10 minutes of walking from our stop, this beautiful natural lake surrounded by pines, hills, and green landscapes, making it a very photogenic spot.

Once you’ve soaked in the beauty of Shengjergj, the real adventure begins. Off-road trail takes you on a thrilling ride through rugged mountain paths, heading toward Bize Village. As you navigate these winding tracks, you’ll make several photo stops to capture the unforgettable scenery. Stop also at Biza Lake which is one of the most beautiful high-mountain plateaus near Tirana. The landscape is filled with rolling hills, dense forests, and sweeping valleys that few have had the privilege to see. Every corner offers a new perspective of Albania’s untouched nature, making this journey an experience that will scrape memories into you.

Continuing along the rugged roads, you’ll eventually reach The Kollagjesh Lakes, a group of small glacial lakes located deep inside the Mali me Gropa–Biza–Martanesh protected area, they are remote, wild, and considered one of the most beautiful hidden gems in central Albania.

Lunch will be at a small local inn where you will get to try traditional dishes: Beans soup with dried meat, sweet milk-pie.

Later on you will pass by Baholleve house, this is a famous house known in the past as a residence of our ex -Dictator Enver Hoxha, this was his residence during the 2nd war world and there are a lot of stories to be told and where you will see a statue of Enver Hoxha.

Continue your journey toward Labinot-Fushë, a village located just outside Elbasan. As you descend from the mountains and approach the valley, the landscape opens beautifully, giving you the chance to admire the Shkumbin River from above — almost like a bird’s-eye view.

Before heading back to Tirana, make a stop in Elbasan, one of the oldest towns in Albania, known for its rich history and charming old town. Visit a local family in the old neighborhood of the castle where you will experience the Albanian hospitality, listen to different stories that the owners have to share while you sip some Turkish coffee and a glass of Raki. Before you leave of course you will not forget to visit Real Scampis venue inside the castel, grab a beer or a drink on your own, and enjoy one of the most impressive places in Albania where you can find the traces from Illyrians, romans, ottomans to now a days.
