Visiting Albania: Visa Requirements

Visiting a new country can be confusing at times especially when it comes to requirements to enter. That is why we are giving you some information regarding visa requirements to enter Albania. This information is specifically for travelers coming from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, India, Qatar, Oman, Russia, Bahrain, and Russia.

Starting from April 1st until December 31st, 2021, travelers coming from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, India, Qatar, Oman, Russia, and Thailand, can travel without a visa to the Republic of Albania, for a stay of up to 90 days. Those traveling from the United Arab Emirates can enter the Republic of Albania without a visa for a short-term stay up to 180 days if they have a valid residence permit issued by UAE authorities. All foreign citizens that enter the Albanian territory must apply the criteria referring to law no. 108/2013, article 6.

In certain cases, when a foreigner enters the territory of the Republic of Albania, it may be required to submit an invitation letter, among the usual travel documents. In terms of financial means, they can either be in Albanian Lek or a foreign currency that can be exchanged in Albania. The amount required is 5000 ALL/day for adults and 2500 ALL/day for minors.
